for the cake:
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup semolina flour (fine)
1/2 cup powdered coconut
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
1 tsp baking powder
(tahini paste to grease baking pan, almond halves to decorate the cakes after baking)

for the syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp orange blossom water
1 slice of lemon

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees (f). Grease a small-medium sized baking pan with the tahini paste. Mix all of the cake ingredients together and pour into the greased pan. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees until golden-brown (approximately 20-25 minutes).

While the cake is baking, mix the syrup ingredients together and boil for 10-15 minutes, stirring regularly. Leave the syrup on low heat until the cake is finished baking. Pour the hot syrup evenly over the cake after you take it out of the oven. Let cool to room temperature, cut into squares, place an almond half on each square for decoration and serve.
