The Mediterranean Bakery is pleased to offer a wide variety of freshly made and ready-to-go prepared meals, appetizers, and Mediterranean dips & spreads, including:

  • Baba Ghanouj (Moutabal): Baba Ghanouj or Moutabal is a tangy and delicious dip made from char-roasted and pureed eggplants, with tahini sauce, lemon juice, garlic and salt. It can be eaten as a dip, with pita bread or chips, or spread on bread with vegetables and olives to make a sandwich. It’s often presented with olive oil, diced tomatoes, and/or pomegranate seeds on top. (Vegan!)
  • Bamia B’Zeit: Bamia B’Zeit is a vegetable salad made with okra cooked with tomatoes and onions and lightly spiced with garlic, salt, and black pepper. (Vegan!)
  • Cucumber & Yogurt Salad: Diced cucumbers in a fresh yogurt sauce, lightly spiced with garlic, salt, and mint.
  • Eggplant Salad, Armenian: This spicy appetizer is made with eggplant, tomato, onion, parsley, salt, chili pepper and olive oil. (Vegan!)
  • Eggplant Salad, Lebanese (Mosaka’a): Mosaka’a literally means “chilled” in Arabic, and this lightly-spiced and somewhat smoky salad is the perfect summer side dish. (Vegan!)
  • Falafel Meal: Eight pieces of falafel made with smashed chick peas & fava beans, spiced & fried, and packaged with a cup of fresh taratour sauce to dip them in. (Vegan!)
  • Garlic Paste: Freshly pureed garlic and potato, with a dash of lemon juice and oil – perfect on sandwiches and for roasting meats and vegetables.
  • Grape Leaves B’Zeit: Freshly made, steamed grape leaves stuffed with rice and tomato, and lightly spiced with lemon juice, mint, and salt. (Vegan!)
  • Grape Leaves, Halal Beef: Freshly made, steamed grape leaves stuffed with rice and halal beef.
  • Grape Leaves, Turkish-Style: Imported Turkish-style grape leaves, flavored with lemon juice.
  • Hummus B’Tahini: Our widely acclaimed hummus dip is freshly made with pureed chick peas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and salt. (Vegan!)
  • Kibby Synieh (almond, walnut, or no nuts): Freshly ground lean beef, mixed with onions and burghul cracked wheat, flavored with aromatic Eastern spices, stuffed with almonds, walnuts, or no nuts, and then baked in a small tray.
  • Kibby Synieh, vegetarian: Pumpkin, walnuts, onions and burghul cracked wheat, flavored with aromatic Kibby spices, and baked in a small tray. (Vegan!)
  • Kibby with meat: These pre-packaged meals contain six-pieces of freshly made kibby, shaped into small footballs stuffed with spiced ground beef and baked.
  • Kibby, vegetarian: Six pieces of vegetarian kibby, made with pumpkin, walnuts, onions and burghul cracked wheat. (Vegan!)
  • Lebne (kefir cheese): The Arabic cream cheese! Freshly made yogurt, lightly salted and strained until it forms a smooth, slightly tart, spreadable cheese. Lebne is the perfect accompaniment for fresh sweet vegetables, such as tomatoes, cucumbers or carrots, and goes extremely well with olives and zaatar too.
  • Lentil Soup with Spinach: Our delicious, freshly made soup with whole green lentils, spinach, onions, lemon juice, and salt. (Vegan!)
  • Lubia Bi-Zeit: Green beans and onions cooked in a lightly spiced tomato sauce. (Vegan!)
  • Modardara: This delightfully silky appetizer is packed with whole green lentils cooked over rice and topped with caramelized onions. (Vegan!)
  • Pickled Turnips (lift): Chopped turnips pickled in vinegar and beet juice. (Vegan!)
  • Tabouli: A house specialty! This delicious peppery salad is made with finely diced parsley, onions, and tomatoes, mixed with burghul cracked wheat, and dressed with lemon juice & olive oil. (Vegan!)
  • Taratour Sauce: Sesame paste (tahini) whipped with lemon juice, garlic, and salt. (Vegan!)
  • Tzatziki Spread: This thick & tasty Greek spread is made with strained yogurt, diced cucumber and herbs.
  • Fresh Yogurt (leben) (regular & low fat)
